Hello, we are delighted that you are thinking of joining us (if you are under the age of 18, you will need parental consent to audition and join the Company).

We would like to invite you to join our "Fame The Musical" auditions on:

Sunday 12 May 2024

10:30am to 4:00pm

South Lake Primary School, Campbell Road, Woodley, RG5 3NA

There are a series of fun and free "Fame The Musical" workshops on 1, 8 and 10 May that you do not need to pre-register for. The workshops will allow you to get a feel of what it is like to be part of Starmaker without any commitment to audition. Fame is a very dance heavy musical so we are especially looking for male and female dancers of all ages. Initial dance auditions will be on Friday 10 May with additional callbacks on Sunday 12 May.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

The youth theatre company enjoys a thriving acting membership of up to 30 young performers ranging from 11 to 21 years of age. We typically perform two shows per year, normally in March or April and October, at venues in Reading, Wokingham, Henley and Bracknell. We have a large number of volunteers working behind the scenes of Starmaker, including our management committee, our artistic development team, publicity and marketing team, wardrobe and make-up departments and a team of licensed chaperones. We encourage parents to get involved and become part of the Starmaker community.

  1. To provide training for young people in all aspects of theatre and the performing arts by professional directors, musicians, choreographers and technicians and provide confidence and experience in the field

  2. To provide guidance and assistance in all social and career matters especially those related to the entertainment industry

  3. To provide top quality entertainment for the community by happy, enthusiastic young people

  4. To provide a healthy environment for young people to meet, work together and socialise in

  5. To build the Company for future generations

Starmaker Theatre Company is a youth theatre company formed in 1988; we are a registered charity (Charity Number 801294).  Starmaker serves the young people of Berkshire and surrounding areas by enabling them to gain knowledge and experience in all areas of the performing arts.
