Welcome to Starmaker, where your child can truly shine! Our exciting Stage School is designed for children as young as 4 years old, providing a nurturing environment where can explore their talents in singing, dancing, and acting. We believe that child has the potential to shine, which is why we welcome all abilities with no prior experience necessary. Your child can stay with us until they 12, after which we encourage them to audition for our talented, award-winning Youth Theatre Company.
Our Youth Theatre Company performers take the stage twice a year at the Alan Cornish Theatre in Woodley, showcasing their skills in fantastic musical productions that leave audiences inspired. Additionally, we offer a fun-filled annual Summer School in August, filled with creative activities and opportunities making new friends. Our weekly LAMDA classes on Wednesday evenings help build confidence and allow each child to learn at their own pace, fostering not just talent but also a love for the performing arts. Since our inception in 1988, we have proudly produced over 140 shows, dedicated to fostering talent and a love for the performing arts. Throughout the years, we have witnessed many of our members embark on successful careers in theatre, film, and television.
Notable alumni include Jordan Luke Gage, who starred as Romeo in & Juliet, and Kerri Norville, who also graced the same production. Our talented roster features Danyl Johnson, the X-Factor winner, as well as Matt Savage from The Levellers and Ben Lewis, known for his roles in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Matilda. We are also proud to highlight Wood-Blagrove, who starred as Modesty in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and the accomplished Natalie Dormer, known for her roles in Rush, The Hunger Games, and Captain America. Our journey has been enriched by the presence of our Oscar-winning Patron, Kate Winslet, whose support inspires us to continue nurturing the next generation of performers.
