Kate Winslet began her performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where she spent many years developing her talent and passion for acting. One of her memorable Starmaker roles was Miss Hannigan in Annie, a performance that showcased the confidence and ability that would go on to define her remarkable career. Before becoming a household name, Kate trained at Redroofs Theatre School, continuing to develop her craft and prepare for a professional career in acting. She went on to become one of the world’s most acclaimed actresses, winning an Academy Award, multiple BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy Award.

Her celebrated screen career includes iconic roles in Titanic, Sense and Sensibility, The Reader, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Revolutionary Road, Steve Jobs and Avatar: The Way of Water. Kate continues to support Starmaker, which holds a special place in her heart, and has even made occasional surprise visits.

Danyl Johnson began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where he developed his passion for singing, dancing and performing. His time at Starmaker helped nurture his talent and confidence, and he later returned to share his experience as a drama and dance teacher, inspiring the next generation of performers.

Danyl rose to national fame as a finalist on ITV’s The X Factor in 2009, where his powerful performances made him one of the standout contestants of the series, finishing in fourth place. He later competed in BBC’s Eurovision: You Decide with his original song Light Up the World.

Alongside his television career, Danyl has continued to work as a singer, performer and performing arts teacher. Starmaker is proud to celebrate Danyl’s journey from young performer to nationally recognised artist and the inspiration he continues to provide to aspiring performers.

Faith Wood-Blagrove began her performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where she developed her passion for acting. Her talent and dedication led to a major film role, becoming part of the magical world of the Wizarding World. Faith starred as Modesty Barebone in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first film in the Fantastic Beasts series, following a worldwide open casting search. She appeared alongside stars including Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston and Samantha Morton.

Faith is currently continuing her training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, developing her craft and preparing for the next stage of her performing career. Starmaker is proud to have been part of Faith’s early journey and to celebrate her achievements as she continues to grow as an artist.

Gordon Cowell was a member of Starmaker Theatre Company while attending Bulmershe School. His time at Starmaker helped launch his professional acting career, leading to the title role in Oliver! at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre and the role of Oscar Wilde's son, Cyril, in Oscar at the King's Head Theatre in Islington. He later trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts before performing in the West End in productions including The Woman in Black and The Mousetrap. Gordon has since enjoyed an acclaimed career as a casting director, working on major West End productions including Frozen, My Fair Lady, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots and War Horse, as well as television and film projects such as House of the Dragon, Bodyguard, Line of Duty, House of Gucci and The Last Duel.

Robin Colyer began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company before training at the Guildford School of Acting. He went on to work as a professional actor, performing at prestigious venues including the Barbican Theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, Shakespeare's Globe and the Watermill Theatre. Robin later co-founded the Oxford Academy of Performing Arts and established Flintlock Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Director, creating and touring acclaimed productions across the UK. Alongside his work as an actor and director, Robin is an accomplished composer, sound designer and educator, inspiring the next generation of performers and theatre-makers.

Sophie Lamont began her performing journey at Starmaker before training at Redroofs Theatre School and Laine Theatre Arts. She has gone on to build a diverse career across the performing arts, working professionally in theatre and pantomime, as well as gaining television and film credits. Sophie has also developed experience as a voice artist, providing voiceovers for a variety of companies and projects. Her versatility as a performer across stage, screen and voice work reflects the strong foundations built through her early training.

Jordan Luke Gage began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where he developed the confidence and passion that inspired him to pursue a career in the performing arts. He went on to train at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, receiving the BBC Performing Arts Scholarship, the Peter Coxhead Memorial Award, and the prestigious Lionel Bart Award on two occasions.

Jordan has since become one of the West End's leading musical theatre performers, starring in productions including Bonnie & Clyde, & Juliet, Bat Out of Hell, Heathers and Titanique. He credits Starmaker with giving him the confidence to succeed in his theatrical studies, and his remarkable career continues to inspire the next generation of young performers.

Natalie Dormer trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London before establishing herself as an internationally recognised actress. She is best known for her roles as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones and Anne Boleyn in The Tudors, as well as appearing in films including Rush, The Hunger Games franchise and Captain America: The First Avenger. She has also starred in productions including The Forest, Picnic at Hanging Rock and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.Her early experiences at Starmaker helped build the confidence and skills that supported her future career in the entertainment industry.

Juliette Caton began her performing arts journey at Starmaker Theatre Company before training at Redroofs Theatre School and later Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd). She went on to enjoy a successful career in theatre, film and television, appearing in the original London cast of Les Misérables and creating the role of Bertrande de Rols in the original West End production of Martin Guerre. Today, Juliette is a highly respected voice coach, educator and founder of the School of the Arts (SOTA), inspiring and developing the next generation of performers.

Camilla Hardy began her performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where she developed her skills and passion for dance and musical theatre. Prior to training at Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd), Camilla honed her craft at the Jeannine Greville Dance Academy in Henley-on-Thames and became heavily involved with Starmaker.

A talented singer and dancer, Camilla went on to become a finalist on the BBC dance competition DanceX and has appeared in numerous television productions, dance videos, musical theatre shows and professional pantomimes across the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and Germany. Her dedication, versatility and love of performing have taken her around the world, and Starmaker is proud to have been part of the beginning of her journey.

Ian Gostling began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company before training at Bird College. He has enjoyed a successful career in musical theatre, performing in productions including 42nd Street, Top Hat, Evita, Singin' in the Rain, Oliver! and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as well as starring in professional pantomimes across the UK. Ian's career is a wonderful example of where talent, dedication and hard work can lead.

Tori Moore began her performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where she developed her passion for dance and acting. Her versatility as a performer allowed her to progress into professional work across the entertainment industry. Tori was selected to perform in the London 2012 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, becoming part of one of the most memorable global sporting events. She has continued to build an impressive international career, working for Universal Studios Singapore and Disney, performing in Tokyo and Paris. A talented dancer, gymnast and actress, Tori’s dedication, creativity and commitment to her craft have taken her around the world.

Kerri Norville went on to train at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts, graduating with a First Class Degree in 2017. Kerri has built an impressive professional career as a performer and choreographer. Her theatre credits include & Juliet at the Shaftesbury Theatre and Royal Opera House, Wicked (Dance Workshop, Hamburg), The Wizard of Oz at Birmingham Rep, The Lorax at The Old Vic and the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Canada, and Working at Southwark Playhouse. She has also worked as Associate Choreographer on the UK Tour of Madagascar The Musical.

Ben Lewis began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where he developed his love of acting and musical theatre. As a child performer, Ben went on to appear in the West End, taking on a number of memorable roles including Adrian Mole, Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Bruce Bogtrotter in Matilda.

Ben studied at Durham University before continuing his professional training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. His journey from Starmaker to the West End and beyond is a wonderful example of how early opportunities, confidence and dedication can help young performers achieve their ambitions.

Matthew Savage began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where, as the son of Starmaker Chairman David Savage, he developed his passion for acting and performing from a young age. He went on to enjoy a successful career as a child actor, appearing on stage and screen.

Matthew starred as Garth Stubbs in the popular television sitcom Birds of a Feather and appeared in the West End musical Mutiny! alongside David Essex and Frank Finlay, as well as Les Misérables in the West End. Following his acting career, Matthew moved into music and became a member of the successful folk-rock band The Levellers, touring extensively across the UK and Europe.

Matthew Whitelock began his performing journey at Starmaker Theatre Company, where he developed his passion and skills for acting. He went on to enjoy a successful professional career, appearing in numerous films, commercials and television productions, including EastEnders, Absolutely Fabulous and Harry Potter.

Known as “The Drama Guru”, Matthew is the Founder and Director of Berzerk Productions, where he works as a drama coach, sharing his industry experience through drama training and LAMDA coaching for young people. His passion for nurturing confidence, creativity and performance skills continues to inspire the next generation of performers.

Nicholas Woodford was a member of Starmaker Theatre Company for seven years, where he developed his love of performing and gained valuable experience on stage. His time at Starmaker helped build the confidence, discipline and skills that supported his professional journey.

Nicholas went on to train at Laine Theatre Arts and has worked across film, television and commercial projects. His credits include appearing as a body double for Jonathan Toomey, an extra in the feature film Stormbreaker, and starring as the main boy in a Nintendo Wii advert. Starmaker is proud to have been part of Nicholas’s early performing journey and to celebrate his achievements in the industry.
